Online, On time, Input...just ONCE
Once is a mature, powerful, comprehensive, and adaptable cloud-based supply chain management system that has been developed over more than two decades by Finland-based Protacon. Although the capabilities built into the Once system involve an extensive software and hardware infrastructure, the operating principle behind the system is simple: Enter or measure data only Once, and from that time forward it is available for every other user and purpose throughout the entire supply chain and into the future. Data is entered automatically wherever possible through measured results (scales, instrumentation, scanned RFID tags, optical recognition of vehicle license plates, etc.), through mobile devices (tablets or cell phones) where convenient, or by plant operations and management staff through efficient scheduling, planning, and management modules. These features and principals are the basis for the product’s slogan: “Online, On-time, Input Just . . . Once.”
